When I watched the video for the first time, I couldn't understand why audience was laughed. I think this pen isn't special. Also, it isn't for woman. I guess a pen for woman doesn't exist and everyone can use it, so audience was laughing. But I'm not sure exactly. Woman and man can use same pen regardless colors or shape. Everyone have same right without gender. Everyone is equality. I think Ellen talks about like this. But I want to know about the pen exactly.
You are right! The audience was laughing because the idea of having a pen designed specifically for women is ridiculous! The idea of having a product like that is so strange and the way that Ellen mocks the pen is what is making the audience laugh.
